Alabama REALTORS® Political Action Committee
Charge: (According to AAR Policies and Procedures Manual Section 4.4.13)
- To elect candidates who are knowledgeable and sympathetic to REALTOR® issues for the purpose of developing governmental policies, legislation, administration and finances for the advancement of the cause of good government.
- To have sole responsibility and authority for ARPAC fundraising and ARPAC contributions.
Composition: (According to ARPAC Bylaws Article IV)
The affairs of ARPAC shall be managed by a 14 member Board of Trustees, consisting of twelve "voting" and two "non-voting" Trustees. The 12 "voting" Trustees consist of: two (2) REALTOR® members from each of the 5 AAR Regions; the current President of the Alabama Association of REALTORS®; and the President-Elect of the Alabama Association of REALTORS®. The 2 "non-voting" Trustees shall consist of: the Chief Executive Officer of the Alabama Association of REALTORS® and the Governmental Affairs Director or ARPAC Staff Liaison of the Alabama Association of REALTORS®. Trustees are appointed by the President of the Alabama Association of REALTORS®.
