A Birmingham native, Dot graduated from Mountain Brook High School and the University of Alabama with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and office education. She taught at Mountain Brook High School prior to her real estate career.
Dot began her real estate career in 1992, was recognized for her success in residential sales by achieving the Birmingham Association of REALTORS® Club of Excellence, and moved into management in 1998. She was named broker and sales manager of the LAH Mountain Brook office in 1999 and qualifying broker in 2011. A graduate of the AAR Leadership Class of 2004, Dot has demonstrated her leadership abilities in numerous organizations and committees for BAR, AAR, NAR, and the Alabama Real Estate Commission. She holds the GRI, ABR, ABRM, CRS, CRB, SRES and CSP designations. She presently serves as Vice President of the Birmingham Association of REALTORS®.
Dot is recognized by AREC as a pre-license, post-license, and CE instructor, by BAR as a new-agent orientation teacher, and by her company as an instructor of sales training. She is certified by NAR to teach ABR, SRES, Code of Ethics, and Professional Standards courses. She has also authored and taught several continuing education classes, and is recognized by NAR as a national CRB instructor.
