Montgomery, Ala. - The Alabama Association of REALTORS® (AAR) named Jimmie Ann Campbell, member of the Montgomery Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR), the Alabama REALTOR® of the Year at its annual convention in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Alabama REALTOR® of the Year award is given to someone who exhibits outstanding professional, civic and association achievements. Jimmie Ann has been a guiding force in both MAAR and AAR for 36 years. She was selected as the local REALTOR® of the Year in 1993 and has remained an active part of the Association since that time. REALTOR® Campbell is a mentor, a past president of MAAR and AAR. Jimmie Ann has chaired or served as a member on 54 Committees or Task Forces since 1993. Her countless hours serving as Chair of the Alabama REALTORS® Disaster Relief Fund Board has helped thousands of families, individuals, and scores of REALTORS® receive crucial monetary support following Hurricanes Ivan and Katrina, the Enterprise tornado and the deadly April 27, 2011 tornados.
Jim Dye, 2010 Alabama REALTOR® of the Year, from the Birmingham Area Association of REALTORS® introduced Campbell as the 2012 recipient with these words:
