The Alabama Real Estate Commission (AREC) met on Wednesday, August 23 at 10:00AM for a legislative planning session. The Commission focused on statutory changes to the Alabama Real Estate License Law, to be addressed during the 2018 Legislative Session.

At AREC’s business meeting on Thursday, August 24 at 9:00AM, Pat Anderson, AREC Executive Director, gave the Executive Director’s report. The AREC Commissioners voted upon proposed rule amendments.  AREC approved changes to rules regarding Pre-license and Post License School Approval, School and Instructor Advertising, Reciprocal Licenses, and Distance Education Courses. The Commission meeting then went into hearings on alleged license law violations and other license law compliance matters.
