Alabama REALTORS® 4th Annual Capitol Conference will be held March 11-12, 2019 at the Renaissance Hotel & Spa in downtown Montgomery. This conference focuses on leadership training and advocacy featuring the ARPAC & Advocacy Awards Luncheon, our annual REALTOR® Day and Legislative Reception. REALTOR® Day activities will take place the afternoon of March 12.

Robert C. Harris (Bob) | CAE
President, Harris Management Group
Bob Harris is the President of Harris Management Group (HMG). Harris is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and a graduate of Florida State University. Harris founded Harris Management Group, Inc. in 1979, which specializes in the management of non-profit organizations. Having received numerous honors and awards for excellence in association management, he was named the Outstanding Association Executive of the Year in 1992, and subsequently named Outstanding Supplier of the Year in 1993, by the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives. He is author of many books and articles and lectures frequently across the country. A few of his books include "In the Company of Friends— Building an Association Management Company," co-author of "Effective Committees: Secrets for Success" and “Building an Association Management Company” and writer of dozens of technical-compliance manuals on Florida issues. He is a graduate of the Institute for Organization Management and has taught seminars for the American Society of Association Executives.
Professional Trainer and Speaker, Leigh Speaks
Leigh York is a third generation real estate licensee. She grew up around real estate agents and builders. Leigh is an agent, broker and speaker/educator. Prior to real estate, Leigh worked in corporate sales as a general manager for a large beverage distributor. Leigh was regional manager for one of the largest CENTURY 21 franchises in the world and then General Manager for another CENTURY 21 franchise that had 3 locations. During her time in management, Leigh experienced managing a small amount of employees to over 100 agents. She learned that company culture started and ended with management, along with profits. Whether it's volunteers, independent contractors or employees the culture and leadership are the most important pieces of recruitment and retention. Recruitment and retention are directly related to profit.
