AAR Welcomes 2017 Executive Committee

The Alabama Association of REALTORS®, Alabama’s largest statewide organization of real estate professionals, installed its 2017 Executive Committee with Mugs Mullins from the Montgomery Area Association of REALTORS® serving as President. Mullins and other executive officers were officially instated on Monday, November 7 at the National Association of REALTORS® Conference and Expo in Orlando, Fla.

Mullins, who previously served as president of his local association, says he is ready to build upon the foundation past leadership has laid and further advance the mission of the Association. “I plan to continue the good work of our leadership and focus on making our Association a valuable resource for our members,” Mullins said. “I want to deliver our services and fulfill the role of a state association in a manner our members expect and deserve,” he continued.

A Montgomery native, Mullins served in the US Naval Reserves for eight years and was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm in 1990-91. Mullins began his career in sales selling automotive parts before entering the world of real estate in 2004 when he earned his real estate license and the designation of Realtor®. He has been selling real estate ever since and is an agent with House & Home Real Estate in Montgomery. Mullins has been an active member of the state association serving as Government Affairs Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and President-Elect.

Other officers inducted for the Alabama Realtors® 2017 Executive Committee are Sid Pugh, President-Elect; Stacey Sanders, Treasurer; Morgan Ashurst, Secretary; Shawn Reeves, Immediate Past President; Landa Pennington, Northern Regional Vice President; Rita Smith, North Central Regional Vice President; Sharon Wilson, Jefferson/Shelby/Blount Regional Vice President; Wes Grant, Central Regional Vice President; and Mary Jane Owen, Southern Regional Vice President.
