The Alabama Economic and Real Estate Report is a monthly statistics report produced by the Alabama Association of REALTORS^® and their team of economists. The numbers and figures in this report are drawn from numerous government and proprietary data sources and represent best estimates at the time of release. As new data emerges, Alabama REALTORS® may, from time to time, update these figures to reflect more recent information.

July 2024 Report 

• Alabama had 6,136 home sales in July, marking a 13.1% increase from the previous month and a 0.9% increase from last year. This is the sixth consecutive month of increases. 
• The median sales price increased by $5,186 compared to a year ago to $233,216. This is an annual increase of 2.3% and a 1.9% increase month-over-month.
• The sold volume was $1.51 billion in July, representing an 8.6% increase compared to last year and a 15.3% increase from last month.
• The 17,368active listings at the end of July mark a 4.9% increase over last month and a 41.7% increase compared to the12,259 one year ago.
• The 447 foreclosures in July represent a 11.2% year-over-year increase. It is a 1.5% decrease in foreclosures since last month.
