Vaughn T. Poe was sworn in as the new Real Estate Commissioner representing Alabama consumers at the Real Estate Commission meeting held last week. Commissioner Poe is from Eutaw, Alabama, and was appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the full Senate unanimously on March 16. His term expires on September 30, 2021.

Also, at the Real Estate Commisson meeting, Commissioner Bill Watts was re-elected as Chair and Commissioner Steve Cawthon was re-elected as Vice Chair of the Commission by the Real Estate Commissioners.

The Commissioners received an update on the 2017 Regular Legislative session before moving into Commission business and hearings.
