Alabama Partnership Bill Receives a Favorable Report in Senate Committee

SB 361, sponsored by Senator Arthur Orr (R-Decatur), passed the Senate Committee on Judiciary last week. SB 361 would revise the Alabama Partnership Act and would update the business entities law. The Alabama Partnership Act governs the formation and dissolution of partnerships in the state. SB 361 is pending final passage in the Senate. 

Representative Bill Poole (R-Tuscaloosa) sponsored the companion legislation in the House, HB 472. The bill has been assigned to the House committee on Judiciary.
