The Alabama Real Estate Commission Proposes New Administrative Rule for Consideration

The Alabama Real Estate Commission has proposed a new administrative rule for consideration. The proposed rule would expand the Alabama Real Estate License Law to include and define property management activities.

The Alabama REALTORS® Government Affairs Team identified several issues this session, which highlighted ambiguity in the Alabama Real Estate License Law that doesn’t fully define property management activities. In lieu of filing legislation late in the Legislative Session, the Alabama REALTORS® Government Affairs team had discussions with the Real Estate Commission concerning promulgation of an administrative rule to define property management under the license law.

The Alabama Real Estate Commission will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed rule on May 25 at 9:00am at the Alabama Real Estate Commission.
