Last week, Alabama REALTORS® partnered with four of our local boards and the National Association of REALTORS® to offer AAR’s first-ever Political & Advocacy Road Show, which made stops in Huntsville, Pell City, Auburn and Mobile. Some of the best consultants from across the country, Chris Sinclair and Alastair Macaulay of Cornerstone Solutions, came to Alabama to work with our members. The three component political & advocacy course taught attendees how to develop a successful campaign when running for local office, gave them a road map for making educated and fiscally responsible decisions when backing political candidates, and how to develop a local municipal and county monitoring program.

“Developing a local municipal and county monitoring program on the local level is so important,” said Alastair Macauley. “The program positions REALTORS® to have a direct impact on local decisions affecting real estate and private property rights and places the REALTOR® Association at the forefront as a defender of public property rights.”
