The Alabama REALTORS® Disaster Relief Fund is contributing $15,000 to be distributed between Florida, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands in response to the recent hurricanes that devastated those areas. Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 storm after barreling through the Virgin Islands, which was hit again by Hurricane Maria just a few days later. The destruction caused by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico has been said to set the U.S. territory back decades. The funds will be given to each of the respective state or territory boards to be used in the relief and recovery efforts.
