Leadership AAR 2019 Session 2: Professionalism and Ethics

Leadership AAR 2019 Session 2: Professionalism and Ethics

The Alabama REALTORS® Leadership AAR Class of 2019 met last week for their second session, which focused on professionalism and ethics, not just in the real estate industry, but also how they are bedrocks of one’s character.

The first day’s content consisted of an intensive examination of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, to include real-life examples of violations and ways they could have been avoided or mitigated. The next day of the program continued with panel discussions of how professionalism and ethics should be looked at not just as developmental designation courses and training opportunities, but also how advanced training coupled with ethical behavior provide a foundation for exceeding in one’s day-to-day business and in life. The class was also treated to an interactive training session with an internationally-known business and dining etiquette expert who shared tips, tricks, and insights on putting one’s best foot forward and how to create the right conditions to be even more successful in business. Session 2 closed with a tour of the Alabama Supreme Court hosted by Associate Justice Brad Mendheim, who shared a behind-the-scenes look of how our judicial system works in Alabama and the ethical assessments judges must make each day on the bench.

Stay tuned to Real Estate Alabama to read about what the class learns in Session 3 when we conclude Leadership AAR 2019 with the leadership and governance module this fall!
