Governor Kay Ivey met with Alabama REALTORS® for a ceremonial bill signing of the REALTOR® License Plate Bill on Wednesday, July 24. Alabama REALTORS® President Stacey Sanders, Treasurer Slade McElroy, and Secretary Wes Grant joined REALTORS® Patsy Gooch, Patience Maples, and Robbie Maples as well as Representative Kyle South (R-Fayette) for the event. 
 

The new law allocates the proceeds from sales of REALTOR® license plates to the Alabama REALTORS® Foundation. Through the Foundation, Alabama REALTORS® supports disaster relief efforts throughout the state, provides for other benevolent efforts for REALTOR® members, and offers educational scholarships for children of REALTORS®. The change in distribution is effective January 1, 2020.
