Annual Meeting Going Virtual & Other Association Updates

Annual Meeting Going Virtual

The Alabama REALTORS® Annual Meeting originally scheduled for October 18-19, 2020 in Point Clear will be shifted from an in-person meeting to a virtual format due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Our top priority is the health and safety of our members and staff, and we feel confident we can deliver all the same content and keynote speakers to our members in a virtual environment that protects everyone from unnecessary exposure.

Our hope is that through this new virtual format, which requires no travel and limited expenses, we will be able to engage with more members than ever before. The virtual meeting will be composed of a series of one- to two-hour segments on October 20-21, 2020. More details about programming will be announced soon.

We look forward to this opportunity to grow as an Association as we adjust to the new “normal.” We will see all of you (virtually!) in October.

Awards

Our members’ businesses have been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine, which has caused a disruption in sales, continuing education, and service opportunities, all areas on which our awards are heavily focused. Given the circumstances and the restrictions in place, we will only be awarding the Alabama REALTOR® of the Year Award this year. The recipient will be announced as part of our virtual Annual Meeting.

Election Application Deadline Extended

The deadline to submit an application for an elected position has been extended to September 1 at 5pm. The available positions and applications can be found on our website here. The election will still take place on October 5-6, 2020.
