Webinar Covering Details About Hardest Hit Alabama Program on September 16

The Alabama Housing Finance Authority recently reopened Hardest Hit Alabama (HHA) to help Alabama families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. HHA provides short-term mortgage payment assistance to those who have lost employment or income due to COVID-19.

A foreclosure prevention program that helps eligible homeowners facing temporary financial hardships keep their home, HHA is funded by the U.S. Department of Treasury's "Hardest Hit Fund" that was authorized under the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. It is administered in the state of Alabama by the Alabama Housing Finance Authority. Since it's inception in 2010, HHA has provided more than $82 million to nearly 7,800 Alabama families to help them avoid foreclosure.

A webinar covering program details, eligibility requirements, application procedures, and other aspects of HHA will be held on Wednesday, September 16, at 10 a.m.

REALTORS® are invited to join us in the event as you have past clients who might need this information and to help promote the program to all Alabamians who may be in need.
