On Friday, Governor Kay Ivey announced several new appointees who will serve on the Alabama Real Estate Commission (AREC). The new appointees are as follows:

Due to a vacant seat in the Seventh Congressional District Cerita Smith will be sworn in immediately, subject to confirmation by the Alabama Senate when the Legislature convenes in January for the 2022 Regular Session. Randy McKinney and Betsy Echols will go before the Alabama Senate for confirmation in Regular Session, as well, and be sworn in following Senate confirmation.
