AAR Mourns the Loss of Past President Louie Reese III

Past President Louie Reese III

August 11, 1937 – January 23, 2022

Alabama REALTORS® is saddened to learn of the passing of our friend Louie Reese III. Louis served as President of the Alabama Association of REALTORS® in 1995. Our thoughts and prayers are with Louie’s family during this time of loss.

Louie is survived by his loving wife Lindsay, together in marriage for nearly 60 years, their three children, son Louie Reese IV and daughters Alice Klimpt and Lynn Anderson, and two grandchildren Tripp Anderson and Sarah Anderson.

Louie is a graduate of Ramsey High School and Vanderbilt University with a civil engineering degree. He served in the Alabama Army National Guard and in 1960 joined Reese-King Real Estate and had a successful business as a real estate agent and appraiser. Notable accomplishments included serving as the International President of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He also held many certifications such as MAI, CPM, and GRI. Louie was an avid golfer and enjoyed dancing.

Louie was steady, reliable, and exemplified what it means to be a servant leader.
