NAR 2022 Legislative Meeting Recap

NAR 2022 Legislative Meeting Recap

Last week, Alabama REALTORS® joined The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) in Washington D.C. for its 2022 REALTORS® Legislative Meeting. This event was the first time REALTORS® have been able to meet in Washington in three years for Capitol Hill visits, advocacy updates, and the industry trade show.

While there, Alabama REALTORS® President Wes Grant welcomed members from across the state and region at an Alabama Welcome Reception.  Federal Political Coordinator (FPCs) from Alabama led meetings with their members of Congress to discuss issues important to our members such as America’s Affordable Housing shortage and the importance of Fair Housing for All.

The NAR Board of Directors met on Friday, electing its 2023 Officers and approving a $10 special assessment to fund the Consumer Advertising Campaign.  A summary of the Board of Directors meeting can be found here

2020 President Vince Malta, 2021 President Charlie Oppler and 2022 President Leslie Rouda Smith held a Joint Presidential Address and recognized the RPAC Hall of Fame inductees from the past three years at the RPAC Awards Ceremony.  Over 750 inductees were honored, including all recipients from 2019, 2020, and 2021.  Congratulations to the following Alabama REALTORS® members:
