Governor Ivey Appoints Jim Dye to Alabama Real Estate Commission

On September 28, 2022, Governor Kay Ivey appointed Jim Dye to the Alabama Real Estate Commission, effective immediately. Dye, whose term runs through September 2026, will serve as a representative of the Sixth Congressional District of Alabama.

"We are very excited for Jim and know that he will do an outstanding job as a valuable member of the Commission. Jim is a leader in our industry and has devoted countless hours of service to his community and to the Association. I know he will bring that same passion and dedication to serving consumers," said Alabama REALTORS® President Wes Grant.

Dye has been a REALTOR® for over 40 years and is from Birmingham, Alabama. Since his introduction to the real estate industry, Dye has served as a director on the local, state, and national level. Dye was recognized as the Alabama REALTOR® of the Year in 2010 and was awarded the Robert Jemison Award in 2013.

The four-year appointment made by Governor Kay Ivey is subject to Alabama State Senate confirmation.
