Alabama REALTORS® had a successful Annual Conference at Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort and Spa in Birmingham, Alabama October 11 – 13, 2022! Over 280 members from across the state came together for networking, professional development, and celebration of our 100 years.

The Conference kicked off on Tuesday, October 11^th with a Golf Scramble at the Oxmoor Valley Golf Course along the Robert Trent Jones Trail, benefitting the Alabama REALTORS® Foundation. Following the morning round of golf, attendees celebrated several outstanding members and the 2023 Alabama REALTORS® Executive Committee at the Awards Celebration and Installation.

2022 President, Wes Grant, welcomed the attendees while AAR Past President Julie Minto emceed the celebratory evening. Forrest Meadows of the Montgomery Area Association received the 2022 Robert Jemison Award. Shawn Reeves of the Wiregrass Association received the 2022 David D. Roberts Award. Danny Fordham of the Montgomery Area Association received the 2022 Above and Beyond Award. SherriMcCollum of the Lee County Association was announced as the 2022 Alabama REALTOR® of the Year Award Recipient.

The 2023 Executive Committee was installed as follows: RaJane Johnson, President; Senia Johnson, President – Elect; Margie Beth Shaw, Treasurer; Wes Grant, Immediate Past President; Sha Jarboe, Northern Regional Vice President; Dedra Cabaniss, North Central RVP; Sloane Rhoden, JSB Regional Vice President; Bo Evans, Central Regional Vice President; Tim Mills, Southern Regional Vice President. The Association was honored to have the National Association of REALTORS® President-Elect, Kenny Parcell, administer the oath of office to our incoming Executive Committee.

The General Session was held Wednesday, October 12^th and was moderated by Brian Copeland, of Doorbell Real Estate. Members gained insight on running a business in a low inventory market, the advantages of new technology and marketing content from a variety of speakers across the country. Speakers included Maura Neill of Buy Sell Live Atlanta, Jorge Guerra of Real Estate Sales Force, Marki Lemons Rhyal of ReMarkiTable LCC, and special guest Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth.
