NAR 2023 Legislative Meetings Recap

NAR 2023 Legislative Meetings Recap

Last week, Alabama REALTORS® joined The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) in Washington D.C. for its 2023 REALTORS® Legislative Meetings. This event was held in the heart of Washington D.C. and had nearly 9,000 attendees.

While there, Alabama REALTORS® President RaJane Johnson welcomed members from across the state and region at an Alabama Welcome Reception. New this year, NAR hosted the REALTOR® Block Party at Nationals Park, home of Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals, where Alabama REALTORS® were able to engage with Alabama’s congressional delegation and their staff on the issues that matter most to the REALTOR® community. Thank you to Senator Tommy Tuberville and Representative Robert Aderholt for stopping by.

The NAR Board of Directors met on Thursday, electing its 2024 Officers and approving the 2024 NAR budget with a $6 annual due increase and new Fair Housing Training requirements for all REALTOR® members. A summary of the Board of Directors meeting can be found here
