Dear Association Partners, 

Thank you for your valuable time, participation, and discussion during yesterday’s Association Partner call. We are all closely following the legal developments in the national class action lawsuits involving NAR. As we feared following the jury verdict in the Stitzer Burnett case, similar copycat class action lawsuits have been filed against state and local associations in New York, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. More of these cases are expected to be filed against state and local associations in other states in the near future. 

We believe it is critical to begin to prepare for the likelihood that a copycat lawsuit may be filed in Alabama. As announced on the call yesterday, in light on the recent copycat litigation moving to the State and Local level, AAR will be hosting a call with the Association Executives and their Association’s General Counsels on Tuesday, November 28th at 12:00 pm.  Please make every effort to attend. We understand it is shorter notice than we would like, however we believe time is of the essence.
