Many Alabama REALTORS® traveled to Houston, TX, for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Annual Conference, held November 13–18, 2025. Attendees took advantage of valuable networking opportunities, participated in high-quality educational sessions, and explored an impressive lineup of exhibitors at the EXPO.

The week kicked off with the Alabama Welcome Reception, where Alabama REALTORS® President Margie Beth Shaw greeted members from across the state and region. Later in the conference, NAR installed its 2026 Leadership Team, led by incoming President Kevin Brown. Among the event’s highlights were remarks from NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun, who shared an encouraging outlook  on the 2026 housing market.

In addition, the NAR Board of Directors convened to consider several governance recommendations. Alabama is proudly represented by 13 members on the Board, helping shape policies that impact REALTORS® nationwide. A special NAR report summarizing the approved motions can be found here.

Alabama REALTORS® looks forward to attending the next NAR REALTORS® Conference & Expo, which will be held in New Orleans, LA in 2026.
