The Shoals Area Association of REALTORS® (SAAR) Board of Directors has officially named the SAAR office building in honor of the late Renee Parnell, recognizing her lasting impact on the association and the REALTOR® profession.

Renee, who passed away in January, was a REALTOR® for more than 20 years and a respected leader within the industry. She was a graduate of the 2011 Leadership AAR program and a recipient of the prestigious Robert Jemison Award in 2017. These honors that reflect her dedication, professionalism, and service to the real estate community.

She also played an instrumental role in the research, planning, and development of the SAAR office building, dedicating countless hours to shaping ideas and envisioning a space that would best serve SAAR members and staff. While many contributed to the project, this recognition reflects Renee’s extraordinary commitment to SAAR and the REALTOR® profession.

The dedication ceremony was made even more meaningful by the presence of Renee’s family. Her husband, Jim, and her sons, who traveled from out of state, joined SAAR leadership and members for the tribute and were deeply touched by the honor.
