RaJane Johnson: 2025 David D. Roberts Award Recipient

Service, leadership, and a deep commitment to elevating the real estate profession have shaped every chapter of RaJane Johnson’s career. From her early days in the industry to her tenure as the 2023 Alabama REALTORS® President, Johnson has built a legacy rooted in advocacy, mentorship, and integrity.

This year, she is honored as the 2025 recipient of the David D. Roberts Award. Established in memory of David D. Roberts, Sr., the award celebrates REALTORS® who have made exceptional contributions to the state association, the National Association of REALTORS®, and their local board for more than two decades. Johnson’s 22-year career embodies that standard.

Throughout her service, Johnson has held leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels, each one reflecting her belief that REALTORS® have the responsibility and the privilege to protect the people and communities they serve.

"Looking back, the accomplishments I’m most proud of aren’t the titles — it’s the impact," she said. "I’m proud of the work I’ve done to raise the bar for our profession … mentoring new agents, protecting private property rights, and helping shape policies that put consumers first … those have been defining chapters of my 22-year career.”

For Johnson, the recognition feels deeply personal.

"When your peers — people who understand the sacrifice and heart this industry demands — say, 'We see what you’ve done,' it hits differently," she said. "I don’t do this work for awards, but I do pour my whole heart into it. To have that acknowledged is humbling and incredibly meaningful."

Ask Johnson what she loves most about being a REALTOR®, and her answer is simple: people. Building relationships, mentoring agents, protecting homeowners, and helping consumers through major milestones have fueled her passion for more than two decades.

As she reflects on this milestone, Johnson says her gratitude runs deep.

"I’ve always tried to give back more than I’ve taken and do the right thing,” she said. “This award reminds me why I stay involved, why I speak up, and why I care so deeply about this profession. It’s an incredible honor, and I’m thankful for every step, every challenge and every relationship that brought me here.”
