Governor Ivey Declares February 13, 2024 REALTOR® Day in Alabama

Governor Kay Ivey signed a proclamation declaring Tuesday, February 13, 2024, as “REALTOR® Day” in Alabama. The day celebrates the real estate industry in our state and the impact REALTORS® have on Alabama and its communities.

“Real estate professionals play a crucial role in Alabama’s vital housing industry, a key economic driver to Alabama’s economy,”  Ivey said in her proclamation. She also spoke of the impact the Alabama Association of REALTORS® has saying,  “The Alabama Association of REALTORS® serves as the official voice of the real estate industry in Alabama, advocating for policies that promote economic growth, landownership, and protect private property rights.”

Every year, on the second Tuesday of Alabama's Legislative Session, hundreds of Alabama REALTORS® meet in Montgomery for AAR's event, REALTOR® Day at the Capitol. REALTOR® Day is an opportunity for real estate professionals to connect with one another and influential figures across all branches of government, while advocating for crucial REALTOR® concerns. Attendees gain valuable insights from leading voices in Alabama politics, and have the opportunity to connect with legislative leaders at our annual Legislative Reception.
